CPCE Exam

The next exam date is Saturday, September 28.   Deadline to Register is Friday, September 13 and is strictly enforced.

The NBCC is the governing body who administers the Counselor Preparation Comprehensive Exam (CPCE) exam nationwide. A passing grade on this exam is required to graduate from the program. You will not begin this process until the beginning of the semester in which you plan to test. If you meet the exam criteria, several emails will come from the Department in the first few weeks of the semester encouraging you to register.
Registering for the exam is a two-step process
  1. Register for the exam as you would through any other course via EKU Direct.  An override is required to insure you have completed all requirements and are eligible to take the exam.  Email COUOffice@eku.edu for instructions on how to do so.
  2. Once you receive approval from EKU, you will receive an "Authorization to Test" email from Pearson VUE within 7 business days (not calendar days.  Be sure to check your spam and junk folders.)  The email will contain your candidate ID number.
AFTER you receive the email from Pearson VUE, go to their website to create an account and register for the exam. www.pearsonvue.com/cce/ap/   You will need your candidate ID number to register.  Simply follow the instructions as prompted.
Please contact Dr. Charles Myers charles.myers@eku..edu for more information.
