Doctoral Student's Recent Achievements

We are very proud of our doctoral students for their dedication and hard work this year. Below are just a few of their recent achievements.

Jan Parker has been selected to receive an editorial fellowship with the premiere journal in our field, Counselor Education and Supervision. During the 2017-2018 year, she will work directly with the editor, Dr. James Korkuska, who will serve as her mentor.

Joshua Elliott and Dr. Sommer will offer a presentation at EKU’s Pedagogicon in May that highlights some of their work on the use of film as a tool to enhance diversity training. They have been selected to provide an article for the first issue of the Pedagogicon conference proceedings.

Our doctoral students, with support from their doctoral committee chairs, have been highly successful in having conference proposals accepted for the 2017 Association for Counselor Education Conference to be held this October.
